At the last Maison & Objet fair in Paris one of the trend presentations was about "Illumination". Also there was an fascinating presentation by "Light Essentials", a Japanese cooperation of different companies, by light designers Motoko Ishii and Akari-Lisa Ishii. This was a show where light and shadow were the main players. The special cocktail of the primary colours of light - red, green and blue - are projected onto originally designed sculptures. Thanks to a special colour changing program, using the latest Led projectors, the shadows are not black! The performance shows that the mix of the 3 colours makes white light. Light is a form of alchemy. Photo's by Milou Ket
